Public benefits

The purpose of Clanrye Group is to benefit the community by training, motivating and developing people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds where services currently don't meet those community's needs. The company will undertake to join with others in undertaking the provision of education, training, and related employment services for people

with disabilities and socially disadvantaged in Northern Ireland, to develop services that promote choice, opportunity, independence and equality. In having these objectives the company aims to relieve those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability and social disadvantage by promoting economic activity and reducing dependency on public funds. The company is an exclusively charitable organisation and continues to work promoting the above purpose only. The direct benefits flowing from this purpose is the relief and prevention of poverty by addressing these factors:- • lack of opportunity • Unemployment • Lack of education • Social exclusion • Disability • Old age • Youth These benefits can be demonstrated by: • The provision of education and training to the above disadvantaged groups • and for those who cannot afford them. • Supply materials, books, travelling expenses and allowances and pay fees to enable people to train and develop people to relieve poverty by aiding economic independence. • Provide money management, independent living skills, personal development and employability to people who require help to secure employment, for those in poverty, or at risk of suffering poverty. • Provide training in vocational areas designed to meet the needs of the individual and the community in which they reside. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. Clanrye Group view the prevention and relief of poverty as an inherently good thing. Clanrye Group will not do anything which in any way may be harmful or anything which outweighs the good work being carried out. Clanrye Group will ensure this is effected through good governance and by strict adherence to the companies rules. There are no private benefits flowing from the purpose.

What your organisation does

Clanrye Group trains, motivates and develops people in line with the needs of local industry and commerce. Clanrye Group trains people from disadvantageed groups, sic young people aged 16-22 with learning disabilities, people 16-60 with physical disabilities, and the socially disadvantaged. Clanrye Group achieves its aims by a mixture of formal

academic/vocational training, alongside practical training activities via a social enterprise setting.
