Public benefits

The direct benefits, which flow from our purposes, are as follows: The relief of those in need – The club was established to relieve loneliness in older people who by reason of age are at a disadvantage in combating loneliness. The club provides facilities in the interest of social welfare, where older people can socialise, recount experiences and

highlight their current needs, with the aim of addressing these needs. The advancement of health – by providing opportunities for older people to express their needs, explore their issues and improve their living conditions the club actively promotes health and well being, which in turn will prevent sickness and human suffering. Funders carry out assessments of the activities of the organisation, they will ask for feedback from service users, carryout evaluations and monitor the number of attendees. These independent assessments demonstrate and measure the public benefit. These purposes will directly benefit those aged 65 and over who live in The Fountain area of Londonderry and are able to make use of the facility, in addition the awareness of the needs and experiences of older people will benefit the general public. There are no harmful affects resulting from these purposes. These purposes will have no private benefit.
