The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include improved education, civic pride, morale and general wellbeing of the people associated with the Dergina area, in particular with regards to culture and heritage. This shall be measured by review by trustees and assessing feedback. It is not envisaged that any harm will result in the

activities. There will be no private benefit to members or trustees.

The association works with the Dergina community to provide a centre for various groups in the community. It also arranges events to bring the community together to socialise, support each other and learn about history, culture, crafts safety and similar needs.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established (a) to promote and preserve the local Ulster-Scots community identity, culture and heritage, in particular for residents of, and those associated with, the Dergina Town land area; (b) to promote confidence and civic pride in the Ulster-Scots Culture, bolster morale of the community, and harness the abilities of local people.
