What your organisation does

We receive charitable monies from the 19 units which operate within our district. The money and paperwork are collated, and designated allocated or un-allocated i.e. allocated monies have been deemed by the donor to be for a named charity. Through these donations we support the VJMBF, BMCF, MWF, MOWC and the HMcMTF, these being the charities that

can be accessed by the brethren and their families in our area. The Treasurer collates the monies collected, along with the gift aid monies and forwards these to the charities. The gift aid Secretary verifies the gift aid paperwork and submits to HMRC. We also run a charity breakfast and raffle in the autumn the proceeds of which are given to two non-masonic charities which are nominated by the committee each year. We offer advice to the unit representatives on how to fill out the application forms, advice on visiting applicants and how to identify those in need of help, and best practices whilst visiting.
