Public benefits

By supporting and developing the work of community groups that meet in Orange Halls and other community venues, Orange Community Network will contribute to the relief of poverty, advancement of education and improvement in the quality of life of the inhabitants of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. These direct benefits are possible by

the provision of services such as events and classes which directly target such issues of concern. Events hosted by our organisation will not only address these issues within their subject matter but have the specific outcome of reducing social isolation and improving interaction amongst participants and attendees which will reduce levels of stress and anxiety and increase general wellbeing whilst improving community relations. This is regularly demonstrated by the feedback received from participants following events and throughout the year. When hosting events for the public there is always an associated risk to health and safety of participants but this is mitigated by the provision of insurance, training of staff and completion of regular risk assessments. The charity's beneficiaries are people and communities living in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. A private benefit arises from the employment and provision of training and skills to our staff which is incidental and necessary for the pursuit of our aims. The providing and assistance in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation has the direct benefit of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit. The areas in which we operate often have limited infrastructure and few facilities so our assistance in this regard allows events to be hosted and community use of the facilities we provide access to. This has the effect of improving education, reducing social isolation and the improvement of community relations. This is demonstrated by the regular feedback received from those who use the facilities we provide. The provision of facilities to the public will always have some element of risk to health and safety of participants but this is mitigated by the provision of insurance facilities and training of staff and participants where necessary. Our beneficiaries are communities and people in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. A private benefit arises from the employment and provision of training and skills to our staff which is incidental and necessary for the pursuit of our aims.
