In relation to all of the purposes of Cloughmills Golden Oldies; the direst benefits can include the advancement of education, the promotion of the preservation and protection of health among older people and the relief of poverty. Cloughmills Golden Oldies do this by providing opportunities to take part in training/education such as information
sessions, workshops and activities condusive to the promotion of health and well being. These can also include social outings, luncheon club meetings, leisure and recreational activities. Cloughmills Golden Oldies brings older people together and provides support through a series of structured activities designed to increase general health and well being particularly for people aged 55 years and over. Members of Cloughmills Golden Oldies give positive feedback in relation to the benefits of the organisation in many ways, through measured evaluation for specific projects, word of mouth and through an increase in attendance at events. Participants state that their engagement in the programme of activities has benefited their general health and well being. Cloughmills Golden Oldies works in partnership with other voluntary/community groups to reach out and develop projects that can further support aspects of health and well being such as the delivery of luncheon clubs. In relation to all of the above, the beneficiaries of Cloughmills Golden Oldies are all people living in Northern Ireland,(and mainly, but not exclusively, from the village of Cloughmills) over the age of 55. There are no harms resulting from any of the purposes. No person connected with the organisation gains a private benefit which is more than incidental to carrying out the said purposes.
