Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from our purpose include a. To assist young people through their leisure time activities to develop their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and so that their conditions of life may be improved; b. To advance the Christian

faith by encouraging participation of local Churches in the evangelism of young people and discipling of young people into local congregations; c. To provide educational and religious resources, training and support to organisations such as Schools and Churches; d. To advance any other exclusively charitable purpose anywhere in the World as the directors may, from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of the charity. These benefits are demonstrated through: a. Enrolment and attendance numbers of children and young people in programmes. Evaluation forms completed by those attending programmes. b. Annual feedback forms completed by ministers or youth workers of local churches. c. Annual feedback forms completed by schools who have hosted GBYFC programmes. d. Other feedback forms where appropriate. The purpose of our charity does not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are provided to children and young people, and their families, in the Greater Ballyclare Area. Schools and churches also receive the benefit of extra support being offered to their pupils and young people. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is the provision of youth facilities that may be used by the children of trustees. This is incidental and necessary because many of the trustees have families and all live in the Greater Ballyclare Area.

What your organisation does

GBYFC runs a youth centre in Ballyclare that offers a variety of programmes for children and young people. Examples of programmes offered include girls group, guys group, breakfast club, football, youth alpha, drop-in and one-to-one mentoring. Where appropriate we also offer detached youth work throughout the Greater Ballyclare Area. We also

work in schools and churches in the Greater Ballyclare area. In everything that we do we aim to help young people to find Jesus, follow Jesus and join His family.
