Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from purpose Promote interest in Flute musical traditions in Ireland, Scotland and overseas, include: Teaching of new musical skills while educating about local traditions and history therefor improving knowledge on our heritage. This will also tackle social exclusion in the area and help build community spirit as

well as giving people the opportunity to improve quality of life through musical education. These benefits are evident through the continued community support, and the increased levels of community spirit that are clearly visible. We can also see how individuals have improved their own skills and have been able to move forward in other aspects of their life due to the confidence they have gained. This purpose of our charity does not lead to any harm, The charity’s beneficiaries are, all those who choose to become involved in furthering their musical knowledge and education as well as those within the community who attend and support events put on as these help build community spirit. There are no private benefits. The direct benefits which flow from our second purpose which covers a wide range of activities include: Continued enhancement of new skills and knowledge in the local area, information gathering to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community and improving in any way that we can so that they can fully benefit from this. Tackling social exclusion by organising events, lessons, and concerts. These benefits are evident through the continued growth of people who attend the lessons to improve their skills and the feedback from the community though information gathering and attendance of events. This purpose does not lead to any harm, the charity’s beneficiaries are all those who help run the organisation as they feel they have a purpose and that they are making a difference in the community and those who choose to attend the events and lessons who learn new skills and feel less isolated. There are no private benefits.

What your organisation does

Our organisation provides tuition of traditional instruments within a community based environment. In doing this we help people of all ages to learn new skills, socialize and sometimes perform their newly learnt skills. We also hold fundraising events that everyone gets involved in and enjoys, these can range from summer fairs to educational bus

trips.

Charitable purposes

-Promote interest in Flute musical traditions within Ireland Scotland and overseas. Preserve the existing repertoire of flute music. -Develop the genre through the production of new work and encourage its continued enjoyment and acceptance within the whole population of Northern Ireland. -Encourage persons of all ages and sexes to develop their instrumental skills and talents. -Provide tuition in the instruments and in the relation skills and competencies. Establish a community based initiative in co-operation with other relevant organisations to promote the activities of the band and any constituent bodies or groupings in furtherance of the above objectives.
