Public benefits

The direct benefits, which flow from the association’s purposes, are: The provision of a range of educational, recreational and social courses and activities mainly based in the Kinawley Enterprise Park Conference room for members of the community of Kinawley and surrounding districts, providing them with the opportunity to avail of courses and

activities that assist them improve their educational attainment, social interaction, wellbeing and their conditions of life through accessing services that would not normally be available to them. Many of these activities are organised by the Partnership working with the local community and linking with other Voluntary Organisations and Statutory Authorities such as Fermanagh Rural Community Network, Fermanagh District Council, South West College, Department of Agriculture & Rural Development. Benefits of the courses and activities are evidenced by the collection of feedback from participants and measurement of numbers attending; The Partnership work with local voluntary, statutory and funding awarding organisations to provide facilities for recreational activities, and make improvements to the physical infrastructure of Kinawley village and surrounding district. Benefits of these actions are evidenced through the construction of a physical infrastructure facilities and environmental enhancements; The Partnership also undertake work to promote other activities, services, grants and advice that may benefit the inhabitants of Kinawley Village and District in their personal lives and businesses. The only private benefit flowing from our Partnerships purposes are that Kinawley Community Partnership members and their families can participate in all courses, activities, avail of facilities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all members of the district can potentially benefit. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Kinawley Community Partnership.

What your organisation does

Kinawley Community Partnership was established as a cross community partnership in 1995 to represent the interests of the inhabitants of Kinawley Village and surrounding district in rural County Fermanagh. The partnership applied for charitable tax status from HMRC in 2004 and when this was granted in 2005 we adopted an updated constitution in

January 2005. Examples of courses and activities that Kinawley Community Partnership have worked over the years to provide for the local community include; First Aid, Computer Training, Flower Arranging, Keep Fit, Basic Food Hygiene, Fly-tying, ESOL, Calligraphy, Painting, Information Talks. The Partnership have worked with Kinawley Enterprise Limited, Local Churches, Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and grant making bodies to provide facilities for recreational activities, and make improvements to the physical infrastructure of KInawley village and surrounding district including a Playpark, Barbecue and Picnic Area, provision of Hanging Baskets and Flowerbeds and currently are engaged in proposals to develop a multi-use games area. The partnership provides and / or signposts to services and advice that may be of benefit to the local community such as farmers support, housing support, enterprise support and council support.

Charitable purposes

The Objects of the Partnership shall be:- To promote the benefit of the area of benefit without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other political opinion, by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort: a) to advance education; b) to maintain, improve or provide public amenities and the improvement of the physical environment to which the public have free access; c) to provide and assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit; d) to promote all or any objects for the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable.
