Public benefits
The benefit which will flow from the purpose is the exposure of the general public to art they would be unlikely otherwise to have the opportunity to experience. This benefit is evidenced by the opening on 3rd June 2015 of a large exhibition space in Ballymena. The work of six young artists who are recently graduated is being exhibited to the
public. The benefit will also be evidenced by feedback in a visitors book located in the gallery, and by comments on the gallery's social media presence. The charities beneficiaries are the general public. The charitable purpose cannot be obtained without benefitting the artists involved and this benefit is necessary and incidental. Some benefit may be gained by the owner(s) of space(s) which the charity leases, including trustees. However, property will only be leased if the rent can be proven to be on favourable terms and below market value. Renting space is necessary and incidental to the main purpose and any benefit is greatly outweighed by the benefit to the beneficiaries. It is not foreseen that the purposes of our charity will lead to any harm.
