Public benefits

The beneficiaries of our purposes are the general public of Northern Ireland. Our main aim being relief of suffering for dogs who are in need of rehabilitation, care and treatment by providing sanctuary, treatment and protection on either a temporary or (if temperament difficulties dictate), a permanent basis. To promote kindness and compassion

within the public domain towards dogs, and the promotion of responsible ownership, and accountability when caring for a dog. To provide education and advice on appropriate training and recognition of behaviour patterns in dogs with the aim of preventing bites, and incidents involving dogs. To use social media to reach a wide audience to achieve these aims. As a group we encourage compassion towards animals amongst the public, and help the general public form humane attitudes towards animals and their care, by providing assistance and practical help in the form of taking dogs into the sanctuary environment, and offering practical behavioural assistance, advice and educational information via our facebook page, in matters of animal welfare, care and treatment of dogs. Public benefits are shown through the animals which are responsibly rehomed from our sanctuary, providing enjoyment and relief from stress for their new owners, also with regards to our intake and assistance offered to those who are having behavioural difficulties with their dogs, by providing assistance to these owners we are helping reduce their stress and are also acting to ensure public safety, by discussing proper control of dogs and positive behavioural modification. These benefits will also be demonstrated by the reduction of the number of dogs unnecessarily surrendered to destroyed by council pounds. Our purpose does not give rise to any harm.
