The charity’s objects are; To help and assist orphan children in Romania and to provide building programmes to alleviate hardship, to provide education and training facilities. In particular the following: - 1) The provision of help and assistance for orphan children in Romania. The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is to
alleviate the poverty, hardship and distress of the abandoned and orphaned children by the provision of clothing and humanitarian aid. This is evidenced through positive feedback and reports from the members of the charity and the volunteers who have worked in the orphanages together with feedback from other charities and agencies in Romania. The trustees believe there is no private benefit. No member nor volunteer gains from their involvement with the charity. The trustees believe the charity’s purposes do not lead to harm. 2) The construction projects include refurbishment, repairs and renovating orphanages, education and training facilities in Romania. The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is to substantially improve the appalling and atrocious conditions in the orphanages and institutions. This gives the orphans back their basic human rights and dignity and relieves the orphans’ hardship and improves their quality of life. These benefits are evidenced through feedback and reports from the members of the charity and the volunteers, who have worked on the projects in Romania together with feedback from other charities and agencies in Romania. The trustees believe there is no private benefit. No member nor volunteer gains from their involvement with the charity. The trustees believe the charity’s purposes do not lead to harm. The beneficiaries of our purpose are orphans living in Romania. The trustees believe the charity’s purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement.
