Public benefits
The public benefits that flow from this purpose are: (i) The provision of a friendly, supportive environment providing guidance, advice and support, leading to a better quality of life for the beneficiaries and consequent improvements in their health and well-being (ii) A greater sense among the beneficiaries of more fulfilled and purposeful
lives, resulting in a safer, more stable and cohesive community (iii) Increased levels of knowledge and transferable skills among beneficiaries, volunteers and trustees, assisting in the creation of a more self-empowered, skilled and educated community (iv) Increase awareness and support mechanisms in place to assist the beneficiaries with the day to day struggles and challenges, enabling a positive impact in the community and encouraging more effective coping strategies The benefits are demonstrated through the number of users of the service and also through feedback from beneficiaries. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are people living in Northern Ireland and cross border counties who are in need of support to help with stress, illness and general work life/balance.. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of on going training in good governance, finance etc. Through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
