Purpose 1: To enhance and advance the educational environment of the pupils of the school by providing through fundraising, equipment and other benefits, which are in line with the Schools Strategic Plan but not provided through the Education Board. Benefits Improved ICT skills for pupils Enhanced educational environment for pupils in classrooms

and throughout the school Enhanced opportunities for pupils to access wider range of non classroom based activities To help sustain the provision of transport to access a wider range of extra curricular activities To have access to most up to date learning tools available. To further enhance the health and wellbeing of pupils through the provision of PE equipment. Evidence Feedback from pupils, staff and parents on enhanced school environment. Evidence of increased enrolment in non classroom based activities. Evidence from staff of additional school outings Evidence from staff of use of new learning tools and ICT equipment. Evidence from staff of increased uptake on healthy eating policy. Harm We can identify no harm that could come from this purpose. Beneficiaries The main beneficiaries will be the pupils of the school and their teachers. Parents will also benefit from increased interest in pupils through additional activities. Private Gains The committee of the Parent Support Group will gain in experience of running an organisation, fundraising, team work and also personal self satisfaction that the pupils of the school are benefitting directly from their work. Purpose 2. To promote wider community involvement in school life by offering social activities for parents, staff and friends of the school. Benefits Greater co-operation between parents, staff and friends of the school when running events Increased communication between parties. Greater support from parties in fundraising activities and committees. Greater acknowledgement of the work of the committee, staff and friends of the school in educating the pupils. Evidence Greater numbers attending fundraising activities and supporting financially. Greater number of helpers at each event. Increased publicity for the school for funds raised but also what funds are used for. Harm We can identify no harm that could come from this purpose. Beneficiaries Parents, staff, past pupils of the school and pupils. Private Gains Committee members may forge new friendships as a result of the activities. Purpose 3. To foster relationships between those associated with the school and others including the local community. Benefits To gain access to expertise from local businesses who can help either financially or otherwise in fundraising activities. Evidence Support either financially or in expertise/resources from the local community and businesses. Harm We can identify no harm that could come from this purpose. Beneficiaries The committee as an entity will benefit in helping to achieve its purposes. The pupils, staff and parents also as a direct result of the committee achieving its purposes. Private Gains Committee members could gain from the knowledge learned from local businesses.
