Elite Community Fitness Gym meets the public benefit requirement as follows: Purpose one (Advancement of Health) The direct benefits which flow from purpose 1 include; The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is that of improved health and well-being, development of relationships with peers and elders for the children and young people who

participate and improved community life through competitive sports. Participants increase their levels of physical activity and learn and develop new skills in sport i.e. Martial Arts, Gym etc. Can you demonstrate this? These benefits are evidenced through feedback from residents/beneficiaries/volunteers & attendance sheets of members attending the Community Gym for training. Is any harm or possibility of any harm outweighed by the benefit? Regarding potential harm flowing from this benefit; participation in sporting activities always carries a risk of injury. We ensure that participants are fit and wear proper protective equipment, e.g. proper footwear and engage in suitable warm up activities. This mitigates the risk and allows the child, young person & adults to fully enjoy and benefit from the activity. Our Community Gym is covered by adequate insurance and we keep a first aid kit on the premises at all times. Who is the benefit for? The beneficiaries of this purpose are our members who are Children, young people aged up to 25 years of age and Adults from all areas of Derry City Is there any private benefit? Is it incidental or necessary? A private benefit may arise in the form of training, however this is necessary and incidental to co-ordinate & deliver the programmes and ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Purpose Two (Advancement of Education) The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2 include; The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is that children, young people & adults are more educated as to the benefits of healthy eating and participation in physical activity. Can you demonstrate this? These benefits are evidenced through feedback from individual members, parents/guardians and club volunteers. Is any harm or possibility of any harm outweighed by the benefit? There is no harm flowing from this purpose. Who is the benefit for? The beneficiaries of this purpose are our members who are Children, Young people aged up to 25 years and adults from all areas of Derry City Is there any private benefit? Is it incidental or necessary? A private benefit may arise in the form of training, however this is necessary and incidental to co-ordinate & deliver the programmes and ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

1. to to promote fitness and martial arts to the greater community of shantallow in one of the most deprived poverty stricken and troubled areas in the whole of the uk and Ireland 2. promote and educate the youth and young individuals in the ways of fitness ,martial arts and mental wellbeing to include and promote healthy eating and

clean living and to promote positive attitude 3. to advance heath and saving of lives though positive attitude and thought fitness and sport as the greater shantallow area has a large problem with drug and alcohol abuse with a high number of suicides and attempted suicides by young people with so called legal highs e.g methadrone .we had teenagers hooked on drugs and drink who have turned there lifes around by giving them something else to do e.g. one teenager was about to jump of the foyle bridge who has since brought his life around and went on to get a gold medal at his first kickboxing competition and now helps to teach the younger kids . 4. to promote cross community and religious harmony by promoting sparing sessions with other clubs and other parts of the community so the participants realise they are not so different after all 5. to relief of those in need by reason though improved community life through sports and recreation facilities being maintained so the can be used by the local community to promote i.e heathly eating programs , confidence building , training in a safe environment and drug and alcohol awareness

Charitable purposes

3. OBJECTS The Objectives of the group shall be: - (i) To enhance the physical social emotional psychological and health of residents of shantallow through sport (herein called the “beneficiaries”) caused through or as a result of civil unrest in Northern Ireland and economic deprivation (herein called the “Area of benefit”) (ii) The advancement of education, of the community in the area of benefit in matters relating to the nature of such issues of children living in poverty and deprivation . 4. POWERS In furtherance of the above objects, but not further or otherwise, the Associations may: a) Provide, maintain and equip or assist in the provision, maintenance and equipment of premises and facilities designed to carry out the objects of the Association; b) Promote and carry out, or assist in promoting and carrying out research Surveys and investigations and publish the useful results thereof; c) Organise or assist in organising meetings, lectures, classes and exhibitions, and publish or assist in publishing reports, periodicals, recordings, books or other documents or information; d) Obtain collect and receive money by way of grants, donations, bequests, legacies or other lawful method provided that the Association shall not undertake any permanent trading activities and shall conform to any relevant requirements of the law; e) Purchase take on lease or in exchange, hire or otherwise acquire any real or personal property and any rights and privileges necessary for the promotion for the promotion of the above objects and construct, maintain and alter any buildings or erections which the Association may think necessary for the promotion of its objects; f) Make any regulations for any property which may be so acquired; g) Subject to any consents as may be required by law, sell, let mortgage, Dispose of or turn to accounts all or any of the property or assets of the Association with a view to the furtherance of its objects; h) Subject to such consents as may be required by law receive money on deposit or loan and borrow or raise money in such a manner as the Association shall think fit and to charge all or any part of the property of the Association with repayment of money so borrowed; i) Invest the moneys of the Association not immediately required for the furtherance of the said objects in or upon such investments, securities or property as may be thought fit, subject nevertheless to such conditions (if any) as may for the time being be imposed or required by law; j) Recruit and train volunteers with relevant skills to carry out the objects Of the Association; k) Employ and pay any person or persons, not being a member of committee to supervise, organise and carry on the work of the Association and make all reasonable and necessary provision for the payment of remuneration to employees; l) Promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above objects and to that end to work in association with local authorities and voluntary organisations engaged in the furtherance of the above objects in the area of benefit; m) Establish or support any charitable trusts, associations or institutions formed for all or any of the above objects; n) Do all such other lawful things as may be necessary for the attainment of the above objects or any of them; 5 MEMBERSHIP Membership of the Association shall be open to the following, irrespective of ethnic identity, disability, age, gender, political party, nationality, sexual orientation, marital status, or religion:
