Purpose: Belfast Islamic Centre is established to promote the benefit of Muslim community in NI by promoting religion, advancing education, relieving poverty and distress and by providing facilities for the protection of Health and recreation with the aim of improving the conditions of the Muslim community. Public Benefit: The direct benefits

which can flow from this purpose are: -provide, maintain and equip religious facilities and places of worship which will help the Muslim community in their religious and educational life. - Enable members of the Muslim community to integrate within the wider society and to participate fully in the public and economic life within the province. -bring a better understanding of Muslims and their traditions to the wider society in order to achieve good relations between the Muslim community and others. - initiate interfaith and intercommunity dialogues in order to disseminate correct knowledge about Islam and to help differentiate cultural practises from religious practices -Promote tolerance between people of different ethnic backgrounds/cultures and to increase equality of opportunity and equal protection amongst them. * These Benefits will be evidenced through: - Feedbacks from the beneficiaries of the courses, classes and religious and activates. - Membership lists, Facebook followers and websites hits. - Progress reports that are sent to the funders. -Annual report that is shown in the AGM. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from the purposes. The beneficaries are the muslim community.

The range of services offered by BIC includes but not limited to: • Interpretation and translation • Presentation about Islamic tradition and culture • Chaplain services at local university and hospitals • Consultation and advice • Taking part in various activities organised by other organizations • Representation of Muslims at forums and

consultation events • Integration and Good Relations Activities • English and Arabic classes, GCSC Islamic studies • Weekend religious school of the youth • Marriage and family affairs • Islamic courses for non-Muslims on Muslim culture and traditions
