Public benefits

Collective is a non-denominational evangelical church based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. A summary of how we benefit the public is provided below. Promotion of religion We benefit the public by giving them the opportunity to learn about, worship and serve God. We firmly believe that the New Testament model of Church is based around community,

not buildings. Therefore, we are seeking to develop a vibrant community of Christians, that loves and serves the community around it. This benefit is demonstrated through the provision of weekly meetings that focus on theological and spiritual instruction. It is not anticipated that this benefit will cause any resultant harm. The beneficiaries of this activity are the general public. Education We believe that educating people is key to increasing their effectiveness as a person, family and community. This therefore benefits the public through providing training on a variety of subjects from theology to more practical matters like domestic finances. We provide training courses for Adults and Sunday School for Children. These benefits are demonstrated through our Language School that meets weekly during term time, and teaches English to those who do not speak English as a first language. It is further demonstrated by delivery of classes such as 'Introduction to the Bible', 'Christian Growth', and 'Introduction to Missions'. It is not anticipated that this benefit will cause harm. The beneficiaries of this activity are those who attend the Church and want to learn more, those who do not speak English as a first language, and the general public who also attend courses. The relief of those in need We believe that the Bible gives a very clear message in relation to how those who find themselves in need should be helped. We want to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of people. We have established a partnership with the Friendship School in Cambodia, which will be a long term relationship. We also seek to work locally in relation to addressing poverty. These benefits are demonstrated through our partnership with the Friendship School, and through the provision of a fund for those in identified need. It is not anticipated that this benefit will cause harm. The beneficiaries of this benefit are the general public.
