Public benefits

To provide relief from poverty and to advance the education of the people of Zambia We provide educational support for the community with which we work. As a result of this, beneficiaries will be able to avail of an improved educational experience, leading to better job prospects and ultimately to a better standard of life. We provide food to

some of the poorest people in Zambia, as a result, they obtain nourishment and nutrition which leads to improved focus and concentration in school, which will help to empower them to achieve a higher level of education and relief from an impoverished life. These benefits can be demonstrated through receipts for food/equipment purchased, children finishing certain stages of school and also through photographs. As a group we have concluded that there is a certain level of danger involved in the work that we do. There is a risk of injury to our volunteers while carrying out our general work in a country where infrastructure is quite limited. We have also assessed that there is a risk of disease while working in a third world country. However, we firmly believe that the benefits to all involved strongly outweigh the nominal danger to our volunteers. There will be some instances of private benefits: 1) The local market traders will benefit from the purchasing of food for the orphanage 2) The airline on which we will travel to Zambia will benefit from the purchase of our tickets 3) The local tradesmen will benefit from our payment for their labour to continue the maintenance of the orphanage and school We believe these private benefits to be incidental. No fees will be charged to any of our beneficiaries in order to avail of the services we will provide. Our services will be focused on the poorest people from the most socially and economically deprived areas of Zambia.
