Alleviation of poverty and increase of the general well-being of the communities reached. 3. Reduction of the risk of death and serious illnesses These benefits are demonstrated through... 1. monthly

reports from the local team on the welfare of the children in our care. 2. monthly financial reports from the operation on the ground. 3. Regular reports from the Church on their outreach activities 4. Several inspection visits a year from representatives of the Trustees when the local situation allows. The charity’s beneficiaries are... 1. vulnerable people groups such as those suffering as the result poverty and illness. 2. Caring for orphaned, vulnerable and abandoned children and babies. 3. Supporting the outreach of the churches to vulnerable women working in the sex trade by giving them training in alternative skills in order to make a living. 4. Remote village communities where there is a need that can be met to reduce the level of poverty and increase the overall health of community members for example, agricultural training and assistance, mobile medical clinics, primary education, wells and sanitation improvements. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is an increase in employment of staff in Sierra Leone and a local Northern Ireland administration and oversight element, this is incidental and necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above. This includes in Sierra Leone: 1. Head of Childrens Welfare 2. Senior pastoral leader for the churches 3. Finance and Administration Officer 4. Childrens Welfare care staff 5. drivers and other ancillary support staff

Charitable purposes

To advance the Christian faith in Northern Ireland and elsewhere by:- (a) Holding Church services and public meetings for praise, worship, bible teaching, prayer, healing and fellowship (b) Providing activities, education and teachings for children and young people (c) Providing other social amenities and activities which are in sympathy with the other aims and objects of this Trust Deed (d) Radio and television broadcasting (e) The recording of audio and audio-visual and production and distribution of Christian literature and audio and audio-visual material (f) The support and encouragement of the Christian Church at home and overseas (g) Other activities incidental or conducive to the attainment and advancement of the said objects (h) Such other charitable acts and things as will (or will tend to) promote or encourage the Christian faith.
