Purpose 4 The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include promotion of information increasing knowledge and understanding of addiction, rehabilitation, life skills and increasing employment and training opportunities. This in turn promotes feelings of social inclusion, community integration and feelings of individual wellbeing. The participation of beneficiaries in public events raises awareness levels of the public to the challenges faced by issues relating to social welfare and disability. Purpose 5 The direct benefits which flow from this purpose includes promotion of respite, nursing care and safe accommodation at short notice to meet an immediate need therefore relieving feelings of stress and anxiety faced by beneficiaries. Purpose 6 The direct benefits which flow from this purpose includes the flexibility for Trustees to review the needs of beneficiaries and potential beneficiaries to provide enhanced or new charitable services to meet the needs of individuals who are in need by reason of sickness, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances. ----------------------------------------------- The beneficiaries of our purposes are people who are in need by reason of sickness, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances who live in Northern Ireland. The benefits for all of our services are demonstrated through feedback from service users, residents, family members through surveys and regular meetings. All services offered are regularly evaluated by several trusts that monitor and evaluate the impact of the services offered. Indirect benefits to carers may arise due to a reduction in stress and anxiety caused when a beneficiary is in need of alternative or supplementary support in that appropriate services and support to the beneficiary can be made available when a long or short term need is identified. All services are registered with Supporting People or the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (as appropriate) who carry out announced and unannounced inspections; the results of these inspections are publicly available. A private benefit to Trustees and staff may arise from our programme of ongoing training in good governance, finance, mandatory and specialist training etc...., which may be transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. There is a small risk of unintended side effects from prescribed medication; these would be monitored by healthcare professionals.
