Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2.1 includes access to facilities and activities to improve education, health and wellbeing. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of services. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are

people living in the Flying Horse Ward area of Downpatrick. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing training programmes. Through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2.2 includes giving people a meeting place ie; Trojan Horse Mobile ( the centre) to maintain and manage with support from to get together with others to enjoy social interaction and to take part in activities of a social and recreational nature. The participants learn new skills and share their own knowledge and skills with each other. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of our activities. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. Charitable purposes

Purpose 1) The Forum is established to: 2.1 relieve poverty, sickness and the aged and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Flying Horse Ward and its environs [hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”] without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; 2.2 to establish or to secure the establishment of a Community Centre [hereinafter called “the Centre”] and to maintain and manage or to co-operate with any local statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a Centre for activities promoted by the Forum and its constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objects.
