PURPOSE 1: The Prevention or Relief of poverty: The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include increased access to employment, education and training and welfare advice and a reduction in social exclusion. These benefits will be demonstrated by recording the numbers of people who access our services and measuring these against the targets

established our annual action plan. There is no harm that be discerned as flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries are the people of the Glen and City area of Co Derry and its environs who suffer from social exclusion, are in poverty or at risk of poverty. PURPOSE 2: The Advancement of Health or the Saving of Lives: The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include increased access to healthy living information, health and fitness activities, complementary therapies, improved mental health. These benefits will be demonstrated by recording the numbers of people who access our services and measuring these against the targets established our annual action plan. There is no harm that be discerned as flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries are the people of the Glen and City area of Co Derry and its environs. PURPOSE 3: The Relief of Those in Need by Reason of Age: The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include access to services that are otherwise difficult for older people to reach, decrease in isolation and age appropriate advice and support regarding living conditions including safety in the home, crime prevention and appropriate nutrition. These benefits will be demonstrated by recording the numbers of people who access our services and measuring these against the targets established our annual action plan. There is no harm that be discerned as flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries are the people of the Glen and City area of Co Derry and its environs who are elderly or who care for those who are elderly. PURPOSE 4: The Advancement of Education: The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include increased access to and participation in education and training including vocational training by residents of the area of benefit. These benefits will be demonstrated by recording the numbers of people who access our services and measuring these against the targets established our annual action plan. There is no harm that be discerned as flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries are the people of the Glen and City area of Co Derry and its environs. There is no private benefit which flows from any of our activities.

What your organisation does

To achieve our purposes to relieve poverty, sickness, help the aged, advance education and provide facilities to our community our group works with the Glen development Initiative and the Outer West Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership to deliver a range of services to the local community, including capacity building, classes, training, social events

and a range of healthy life style opportunities such as health awareness sessions, Tonicity, physical activity sessions.

Charitable purposes

The Group is established to: Relieve poverty, sickness and help the aged; and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Glen and City area of Co. Derry and its environs (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to enhance education, and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants;
