Public benefits

The purpose of Kilnaslee Community Development Group is to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Kilnaslee and its immediate environs without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, institutions, businesses and inhabitants in a common

effort: Purpose 1 – to alleviate unemployment. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include improvement of employment in the area and the employability of young people and others in the immediate area who benefit from support from the group. These benefits can be demonstrated by a number of group members and those who have attended our courses and have obtained employment as a result of training and confidence building provided. The beneficiaries of this purpose are the members of the group and those who live in the immediate area and who attend the courses provided. Purpose 2 – to advance education. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the general improvement of awareness, confidence and social cohesion through welcoming all members of the community to our courses. These benefits can be demonstrated by the number of people attending courses and qualifications obtained by those attending from the community. Courses include food hygiene, first aid and computer literacy courses. The beneficiaries of this purpose are the members of the group and those who live in the immediate area and who attend the courses provided Purpose 3 – to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the improvement in social cohesion of the local community the increased interaction between the various age groups and various social backgrounds in the community. We mix more as a result of the recreational opportunities that the group provides. These benefits can be demonstrated by a greater community participation in courses, activities and local community events. We now have a vibrant multi faceted structure in our community. The beneficiaries of this purpose are the members of the group and those who live in the immediate area and who attend the courses provided. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of our community group. Our aim and intent is to provide for the good and growth of our local community. There is no private benefit flowing from the work of our group. Our interests and outcomes are entirely charitable and for the benefit of all the community.

What your organisation does

We seek to raise funds for the provision of the objects of the group. We promote classes and provide a venue that the local community makes use of as a central location for each of the activities we facilitate. We encourage and promote membership of the local community group and promote participation in all its activities.

Charitable purposes

The objects of the Group shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, institutions, businesses and inhabitants in a common effort: a) to alleviate unemployment; b) to advance education; c) to provide and assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit; d) to promote all or any objects for the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable.
