The objectives of the Association are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Glenanne, Loughgilly and Mountnorris and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex, sexual orientation or race, or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and

other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants What benefit flows from this purpose? The benefit that flows from this purpose is that the local people of Glenanne, Loughgilly and Mountnorris have the opportunity to be involved in a programme of educational, social and cultural activities in a safe and neutral environment (GLM Millennium Hall), ultimately building confidence, knowledge and skills which can help improve their quality of life and address key areas of isolation, poverty and disadvantage. How is this benefit demonstrated? The benefits that flow from this purpose are demonstrated by the number of people that access the facility at GLM Millennium Hall and by those that avail of the services provided. It would be demonstrated by increased skills and knowledge across a range of areas that allow people to improve the quality of their lives Who are the beneficiaries of this purpose? The beneficiaries of this purpose are communities of all ages from the Glennane, Loughgilly and Mountnorris areas and the other neighbouring communities in the South Armagh & Newry and Mourne Council areas. Is any harm/possibility of harm outweighed by the benefit? There is no harm flowing from this purpose. Is there any private benefit flowing from this purpose? There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.

What your organisation does

Arrange classes in computer studies at all levels, digital photography, crochet, sewing,art, cookery, dance, flower arranging, first aid, jewelry making, glass etching, glass fusion, gardening. Facilities are available for recreational and leisure activities and also for use by youth groups.
