Public benefits

1 We relieve poverty by providing regular, free, well-balanced, nutritional meals for children, pregnant women and nursing mothers in small villages in and around Phnom Penh. This helps relieve poverty and hardship but also promotes good health among those least able to provide for themselves. There are no social services. We do this in agreement

with local village leaders. 2 We also save lives and relieve the needs of a group of pregnant women and girls by providing a free day-care centre in Phnom Penh for the babies such women and girls who have had unplanned crisis pregnancies, out of wedlock. These women and girls cannot afford day care and have no family support nor are there any governmental services to help them with their crisis. By providing free day care, the new mothers can choose to have their babies and be able to return to work or education. 3 We advance education by providing free English classes to any of the residents of Phnom Penh. This greatly increases employment prospects in the city. There is no harm or private benefit as a result of our purposes being carried out.

What your organisation does

We run a daycare centre for children up to 5 years old, free of charge for the children of young mothers who have shown that they want to improve their existence by getting employment, training or furthering their education and have shown that they want to have their children properly cared for while basically having no money. We also run a feeding

programme where we provide a fully balanced meal ie meat, rice, egg, soup and vegetables to children in poverty. Our physical help for this work comes from our local employees and fully vetted voluntary groups from overseas.
