Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from the management of the hall by the company include the provision of a well maintained facility. All members of the community can avail of the premises for recreational and fundraising activities. Other groups from within the community benefit as they have a safe space to meet and pursue their interests. The impact

of social deprivation is lessened by the existence of a community hall in the rural environment. The purpose of our charity does not lead to any harm. The benefits are demonstrated through the number of people using the premises. We have secured a number of community groups who use the hall on a regular basis and the facility meets their requirements. We assess the satisfaction of users by feedback received and the level of interest shown by all members of the community. There is no private benefit flowing from the purpose of our organisation

What your organisation does

Our organisation was set up to serve the local community and to foster and promote various activities through the development of community facilities. We are committed to bringing a real improvement to our community by promoting participation in a wide range of charitable, educational, community and health related activities. The community hall

provides opportunities for local groups i.e. Diamond Group, primary school, GAA club, FastTrad music, drama, Irish dance and youth service to host activities to help with fundraising. These groups are at the heart of our community and continue to develop with fundraising raised within the community and via grant applications. The hall has therefore to be maintained and managed and our organisation has responsibility for this.
