Public benefits

The Public Benefit The direct benefits which flow from this is the advancement of education providing people with new skills, building confidence, improving health and well being.These benefits will be evidenced through the numbers attending classes and events and through feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes. The

beneficiaries are the inhabitants of Corkley and its environs. There may be private benefit as beneficiaries receive new skills which may be transferable but these will be incidental. The benefits which flow from this purpose include, building confidence, improving skill sets and knowledge through classes and training. This is demonstrated by the number of people attending training and receiving certificates of achievement. (There is no harm of benefit. The beneficiaries are the residents of Corkley ad the surrounding area. there will be incidental benefit in that skills learnt may be transferable.) To promote health and well being through improving mental and physical well being by providing appropriate fitness activities, social events, classes and health welfare advice. This is demonstrated through attendance at events and regular checks by participants at their G.P's. (There is no harm of benefit. The beneficiaries are the residents of Corkley ad the surrounding area. there will be incidental benefit in that skills learnt may be transferable.) We provide and leisure activities which address issues such as social isolation, low esteem/self confidence through organising socially interactive activities. the benefit is demonstrated through people becoming more engaged in the wider community. (There is no harm of benefit. The beneficiaries are the residents of Corkley ad the surrounding area. there will be incidental benefit in that skills learnt may be transferable.) Promoting Rural Development by engaging rural people in the Corkley area in a range of activities, building confidence and empowering them to become more engaged in community life leading to an improvement in the quality of life for the community. This is demonstrated through people attending events and the growth in community activity in community activity in the Corkley area. (There is no harm of benefit. The beneficiaries are the residents of Corkley ad the surrounding area. there will be incidental benefit in that skills learnt may be transferable.)

Charitable purposes

The company's objects are specifically restricted to the relief of poverty, sickness and the aged and promotion of the benefit of the inhabitants of the Corkley Area and its environs of Co Armagh without distinction of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability/ability, race, ethnic origin, political, religious or other opinion by associating the statutory and local authorities, voluntary organisation and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the condition of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: -to establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain or manage or cooperate with any statutory authority for the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the company in furtherance of the above objects; -to promote or assist in promoting community capacity building programmes and projects for the benefit of the inhabitants within the area of benefit who have need of such assistance as a result of their youth, age, disability or infirmity, or social and economic circumstances, in an effort to increase the abilities, skills and self-confidence of such communities in the area of benefit; - to promote the benefit of children and young people in the area of benefit and educate and assist such young people through their leisure time activities so as to develop their physical, mental and emotional capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society so that their conditions of life may be improved; - to advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the directors, may from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
