Public benefits
The benefits which flow from both purposes are reduced levels of anxiety and stress; honest relationships improved self-worth and improved mental health. This is demonstrated by client feedback, testimonials, research findings and evaluation reports. Dealing with trauma can lead to increased anxiety but support people are available as a contact
between sessions and we would make referrals to other professionals if necessary. The services are available to anyone over 18 years suffering from the effects of abuse in childhood.

We evaluate clients to establish if our services could be of benefit to them and recommend alternative services if necessary. We counsel adults who have suffered from verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse or neglect in childhood. Our services are open to everyone and counselling usually takes place in a group setting. We have two centres
one in Maghera and one in Derry. There is a charge for the counselling but is free for those who cant afford to pay.
