Public benefits
The public benefits are:- (i) The enhanced personal development of young people who participate in YouthBank initiatives, building their self-esteem and confidence and providing them with an opportunity to learn new skills in leadership, team-work, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, report-writing, event management and
in many other activities. (ii) The articulation and consideration of issues and concerns relevant to young people and the communities they live in and the provision of grants to improve the quality of young people’s lives. These benefits can be evidenced in records kept by YouthBank organisations and in reports prepared for and evaluations commissioned by YouthBank International Network, funders and other supportive agencies and organisations. No harm arises from these purposes. YouthBank participants may benefit privately from the training they receive, but this is incidental and entirely necessary to the achievement of the organisation`s charitable purposes.

YouthBank International seeks to develop new YouthBanks, increase the scope and capability of existing YouthBank networks leading to opportunities for young people and their host organisations to share, learn and provide greater access to philanthropy worldwide. We seek to do this by providing on-line resources and materials to open up greater
access to new knowledge about how youth-led grant-making is organised in different settings and cultures. We seek to generate good quality data through social media, film and publications We also will be convening meetings, seminars, workshops and events to bring young grant-makers, support adults, host organisations, donors and public policy makers together to share insight and perspectives about what works in youth-led grant-making; sharing techniques and methods to address young people`s restricted access to making decisions concerning the allocation of resources for community benefit.
