Public benefits
The benefits that flow from the purposes are increased physical health and positive mental health benefits. Also reduced risk of anti-social behaviour of those involved in our club as well as creating positive community role models. These benefits are evidenced by user feedback surveys, community feedback, award recognition, active links with
community partners we collaborate with to tackle social issues in the Newlodge community - we are actively involved in programmes such as Midnight street boxing, and were involved in the "Boxer" Minding your head campaign. The purpose of our charity/club due to the nature of boxing may result in potential injury , reduced by our safety measures in place, coaching practice in line with gb guidance however we can demonstrate that this harm is outweighed by the benefits through community based interventions, the positive impact sport has on peoples confidence and self esteem and being involved in a what is a safe and controlled environment. The charity's benefices are young people and adults of all genders and abilitys from the Newlodge area and wider North Belfast catchment area.
