... [more] [less]What your organisation does
To date all our efforts have been devoted to forming a cohesive representative Community Group and meeting through dialogue with the Diocese of Derry their requirements of a Business Plan and registration with the Charities Commission NI. Simultaneously we have had the buildings weatherproof and obtained the voluntary services of a Quantity
Surveyor and an Architect to prepare plans for the renovation. Once accomplished the Diocese will grant a lease and simultaneously the ESDF would seek funding for a staged development of the project. The actual operations will be the implementation of the business plan in pursuance of the purpose as outlined above. Actual operations would be devoted for example: to training in rural crafts, apprenticeships, cross community activities centred on the local and cultural heritage of the area such as recreation including angling, conservation, tourism development, awareness creation about the environment and overall promoting inclusion on shared space.
