Our beneficiaries are members, volunteers, through the provision of football & associated purposed , Glengormley, greater Belfast community & the general public through the provision of sporting events & activities & the availability of facilities. Future members & future volunteers are also beneficiaries. We’ve open membership & only restrict membership when capacity & resources prohibits. Upon space becoming available we advertise publically. Private benefits that flow from our purposes include the potential for players to pursue professional football as a result of their training; enhanced skills for volunteers & Committee Members through attendance at free courses & the accredited coaching certificates. Benefits are incidental & necessary to ensure that benefits are provided to our beneficiaries. Our purposes may lead to potential harm as a result of physical injury. Harm is outweighed significantly by the benefits of the activity through the minimal numbers of injuries incurred across the organisation each season when compared to the level of activity output from both training & playing football. Minimal harm may also occur through provision of facilities; however a risk register will be prepared & maintained to mitigate potential harm. Potential harm from sectarian abuse is outweighed by the positive community development & relationship building that occurs as a result, as well as the friendships forged alongside the broader participation & education of young people on diversity. We risk assess participation to mitigate any risks that might occur & plan accordingly. Our risk management process in place for all aspects of our purposes supports the benefit from each purpose & mitigate risks & harm.
