Glenavy Youth Project (GYP) provides young people with the knowledge, understanding and awareness of him/herself as an individual and as an active participate with others. GYP aims to help all young people, in particular those who feel socially excluded, to develop their potential to the full and to build their capacity, individually and
collectively to participate in the creation of a democratic and socially just society and to meet the challenges which change inevitably brings. GYP recognises the contribution of staff/volunteers and of the potential through co-operation with others to develop and educate young people. The beneficiaries are children and youple in the age groups 8-24 years. This benefit will be demonstrated by the evaluation process through a number of tried and tested strategies such as; surveys, one to one, questionnaires, peer group analysis and a variety of feed back forms that are currently in practise. There is no private benefit or harm as a result of charitable operations.
