The charity’s trustees are satisfied that it meets both parts of the public benefit requirement – Benefit The direct benefits to the community include the growth of Christianity and increased support for moral causes such as missionary organisations in the proclamation of the gospel and in charity support. Further benefits include improved access
to religious sermons; including those made available online (www.sermonaudio.com). The benefits can be demonstrated through faithful attendance at weekly meetings and responses made to the minister showing that they have both been helpful and encouraging. The church is not aware or knows of any harm arising from the above activities. Public The church’s typical beneficiaries are the congregation, made up of its members and their families and with other regular attendees, who mostly live in the Newtownabbey area with some attending from nearby towns but the church is open to the public, offering a warm welcome to any visitors including those who are disabled or infirm. The times of services are clearly shown on the church notice board for public information. In addition, the church conducts special events and conferences in which leaflets are printed and distributed and left in various shops in order to advertise these meetings. There are no fees charged by the church to any beneficiaries, the only private benefit provided by the church is the remuneration of the minister which is incidental to fulfilling its beneficial purpose and necessary for our church work. .

Charitable purposes
The praise and worship in this Church shall be conducted Biblically, as was the worship of our Independent Puritan forefathers. Only Metrical Psalms (1650 Edition) shall be sung unaccompanied by any musical instrumentation. Therefore the ‘Regulative Principle’ is upheld and ‘The Savoy Declaration of Faith’ obeyed.
