These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants, carers and family members who have
accessed Foyle Sailability's water based activities. The beneficiaries of this purpose are people with disabilities in the Derry City council area and the North West Cross Border region. There is no harm flowing from this purpose and there is no private benefit from it .

Foyle Sailability is an organisation comprised of volunteers from across the Derry City Council area and the North West Border Region including disability resource centres , voluntary disability groups,local boat and yacht clubs and local councils. We provide opportunities for participants to access water based activities through hosting events
together with local sailing community. This provides access to the water to facilitate sailing , canoeing , kayaking and leisure boating. In each of F.S. events to date , 200 people with disabilities have participated in each, the personal feedback received to date encourages F.S. to continue with our strategy to secure an accessible training facility in our area which will ensure that people with disabilities will be able to learn the above named skills.
