Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from these purposes include provision of a range of provision of a range of social, educational and recreational activities mainly based within Cleenish Millennium Hall for members of the local community living within the Arney and Bellanaleck District, providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities that

assist improve their educational attainment, health, social interaction and their conditions of life through accessing services and activities that would not normally made available to them. Benefits of the activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers participating in activities and receiving of feedback from participants. The only private benefit flowing from our purposes are that Cleenish Community Association members and their families can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all members of the district can potentially benefit. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Cleenish Community Association.

Examples of activities provided being Keep Fit, Social Dancing, Monthly Old Tyme Dance, Farmers Information Courses & Talks, Funeral Teas, Family Parties, Health Fairs, Heritage Talks, Monthly Youth Disco, Music & Storytelling Sessions, use by the Youth Club, use by the local Primary School for indoor physical activity, use by local GAA Club for

Training, use by other charitable bodies for activities and functions. Use by church groups from both traditions for meetings and prayer weekends. Use by a motorcycle club for weekend rallies. Many of these activities are organised by the association linking with other statutory organisations and voluntary organisations such as the Cleenish Youth Club, Bellanaleck Art McMurroughs GAA Club, and Department of Agriculture & Rural Development.

Charitable purposes

The purposes of the company shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Arney and Bellanaleck District and its environs (the "area of benefit") without the distinction of sex, race or political, religious or other opinions by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education; provide facilitates in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; maintain and manage the Cleenish Millennium Hall (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects and promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
