Public benefits
(i) Public benefit 1. The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is increased development through play and learning for children aged 0-3 in the area of benefit. This benefit is evidenced through feedback from beneficiaries such as parents, carers, grandparents, and child-minders who attend the group with their children. We believe that
this purpose will lead to no clearly identified harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are inhabitants of the Ballyhackamore area and the wider environs of East Belfast. There are no direct private benefits, other than the benefits of increased development for each individual child. This benefit is incidental but necessary to ensure the benefit is provided. 2. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are: increased knowledge of local services, and reduced isolation for parents, carers, grandparents and child-minders who attend the group with their children. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from beneficiaries. We believe that this purpose will lead to no clearly identified harm. There may be private benefits from the provision of support and information, but these benefits would be incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided.
