The purposes of CHEERS Youth Centre are: (1) To provide or assist in providing or to encourage the provision by statutory or voluntary organisations of facilities for educational, recreational and leisure time pursuits for the community of Ballymoney and District. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the provision of CHEERS
Youth Centre as a facility for educational, recreational and leisure time pursuits for the Ballymoney and District. These benefits can be demonstrated by an examination of records of activities in the Centre. Regular statistical returns to the Education Board and other bodies provide further evidence of this. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. (2) To provide programmes to meet the social, spiritual, developmental and educational needs of young people. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include reduction in anti-social behaviour by young people, educational achievement and improved social and life skills. These benefits can be demonstrated by certificates awarded on completion of courses and reports showing projects successes. The beneficiaries are young people who use the centre. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. (3) To improve the quality of life for young people by providing leadership, guidance, counsel and education. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the improved quality of life for the young people who use the centre. These benefits can be demonstrated by reports from the young people of the use they make of the leaders in the centre, the guidance and counsel received and educational achievements. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.
