BENEFIT ELEMENTS The benefits to the community are an improvement to the health and well-being of the men & women and a reduction in their level of stress. A friendly sociable meeting place for all and an opportunity to build new friendships and develop new skills and talents. EVIDENCE OF THE BENEFITS Evaluation forms completed by the group after
each class & the number of individual who enrol for the next class are evidence of the individual benefits received by the group members. Also for those partaking in educational classes such CLAIT & Essential Skill have received certification of their achievements. An attendance register is completed weekly and this identifies almost full attendance by members at classes and other events. HARM OR POSSIBILITY OF HARM There is no harm or private benefit from the activities of the group PUBLIC BENEFIT The women & men in the Toomebridge area are beneficiaries of our group activities. Some feel isolated as a result of bereavement while other living in a rural area experience social isolation, attending these weekly events make them feel more socially included in the community and an outlet for them to socialise with others of a similar age. PRIVATE BENEFIT There is no private benefit from the activities of the group and all the trustees are there on a voluntary capacity. FEES As some of these courses eg CLAIT/ Essential skills are funded by DEL the participant do not pay any fees Some of the other courses eg craft, Upholstery / yoga etc encur a small weekly fee – in order to keep the fees at a minimum for participants the Woman’s Group subsidise this.

The main objective of the group is to promote leisure & educational classes for all age groups as well as promoting community involvement We run a variety of course for local men & woman including upholstery, soft furnishings,first aid, floral arranging, computer classes, yoga, crochet to name a few. The committee meet once a month to discuss
on-going events as well as planning for the future.
