Public benefits

The benefits that flow from this purpose include the promotion and access of arts based activities for all ages and abilities within the rural community of Galbally and surrounding areas. People will be provided with opportunities to experience the arts, develop artistic skills, take part in performances and a range of artistic activities. This

will be provided locally within the community to reduce barriers to access such as distance or cost. People will develop confidence and it will promote personal and social development. It will contribute to positive mental health and emotional well being. We will also collaborate with other agencies from various sectors to encourage and facilitate investment in the arts within the local rural community. Can you demonstrate this? All of our work can be demonstrated by monitoring and evaluation of our work to determine the type and level of impact. This includes speaking with our beneficiaries, requesting oral and written feedback and carrying out pre and post project evaluations. Is any harm or possibility of harm outweighed by the benefit? There is no harm flowing from this purpose. Who is the benefit for? The primary beneficiaries of our work are people of all ages and abilities within the Galbally area and surrounding rural hinterland. Is there any private benefit? Is it incidental or necessary? There is no private benefit which flows from this purpose. We have identified only an incidental benefit which is where Trustees and volunteers are provided with training opportunities in terms of governance, project management and fundraising. This may have positive benefits for the personal and professional development of trustees and volunteers. This is however critical to their role within the charity and ultimately benefits the users of our service.
