Public benefits

Panda Cross Community Playgroup seek to prepare children aged 3-4 years within the Ballygawley and Castlecaulfield electoral wards for their transition into school life by completing the pre-school curriculum ensuring that children are socially, physically and mentally prepared for moving into school. They can seek to arrange assistance or support

from outside agencies for any child who may need extra assistance or support to aid healthy development. This is demonstrated by effectively delivering the curriculum to children by learning through play in playgroup which is inspected by Early Years Social Services Team within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust and the Department of Education and by implementing advice given from other outside agencies. The possibility of harm is reduced by having all required policies and procedures in place as required by Early Years Social Services Team and other agencies. Staff employed by the playgroup receive a private benefit in the form of training and development which keeps their skills up to date and allows them to effectively carry out their roles and implement the pre-school curriculum and observe children to ensure they are meeting their different stages of development.
