The direct benefit that flows from the purposes is each client feels a positive attitude to their psychological health issues after being at Yellow Ribbon. They learn new coping strategies, diet and health nutrition and stress management techniques.In addition, they benefit from our 24x 7 support helpline and one to one psychological support
sessions.These benefits are demonstrated in that confidential notes are taken from every client who seeks beneficial help from Yellow Ribbon of a psychological nature. Our policy dictates that we record all positive benefits experienced by all clients at our face to face sessions, and clients evaluate our interventions daily three times each week. We use newly designed evaluation forms besides entries in our clients psychological case-load book . Evaluations are also reported in our Annual report available at any time for inspection. Many of our clients have a history of self harm either by self cutting, drug or alcohol abuse before they come to us. They often have chronic stress, physical pain and or anxiety. Our prevention, intervention and post vention services , support and applications removes and outweighs all distress pain anxiety in every client. It is evidence based in our risk assessment using the Patient Health Questionnaire and STORM suicidal risk management procedures. Clients normally report that our intervention using these helps them overcome high risk harmful behaviours. The Charity’s beneficiaries all members of the general public who avail of our wide range of services day and night twenty four hours each day. Private benefit all Committee members of Yellow Ribbon undergo regular training on all aspects of Charity Governance in order to maintain transparency and integrity of its members including all volunteers. We are regularly updated by Craigavon Borough Councils Community Development Officer on Rules of Governance and good stewardship besides financial management and audit requirements. This is incidental and necessary to carry out the work and functions of the Charity.

What do we do ? We take GP and non GP referrals each day from our constitutional area and its environs for mental health assessment for suicidal risk and appropriate interventions in order to support our overstretched mental health services in our local hospital besides discharged clients form Craigavon Area Hospital Bluestone unit. We provide
them with 24 hour telephone support, a men and women’s positive health & well being support group, befriending and crisis support service. In addition we provide them with bereavement support, listening, advice on psychological health functioning, and educate them on various aspects of dealing with loneliness especially with the vulnerable migrant community where language difficulties maximize their isolation. We provide an foster an inclusive and mutually supportive forum for those at risk of suicide and their families or carers in order to encourage them to provide mutual support for each other and encourage others positive mental health and well being for the public good. Our aim is also to undertake research into the causes of suicidal behaviour its prevention and treatment of suicidial thoughts, and the dissemination of results of our research for the public benefit using all forms of media support.
