Public benefits

Purpose 1: To relieve poverty, sickness and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Trillick area and its environs The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include: increased well being; improved sense of belonging to the local area; stronger sense of pride in their community. These benefits will be evidenced by increased

involvement in local projects; decrease in people leaving the area; decline in anti social behaviour; positive verbal feedback. We do not anticipate any harm leading from the purposes of our charity. The charity’s beneficiaries are people in the Trillick area. We do not anticipate any private benefit from this purpose Purpose 2: To advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation or other leisure time occupation The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include: increased social/recreational activities for young people; giving young people opportunities to develop skills previously untapped; encourage local people to maximise their creativity through craft fayre; vintage rally encourages social interaction and promotes pride in their vehicles. These benefits will be evidenced by photographs of events, record of vintage rally participants and craft fayre stall holders, word of mouth satisfaction of the various events, number of likes on facebook page, increased numbers at events. There is a slight possibility of harm such as accidents/incident at larger events due to high numbers in attendance. To overcome this we plan ahead with adequate stewards, PSNI are in attendance, risk assessments are carried out and health & safety procedures followed. The charity’s beneficiaries are people in the Trillick area. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is that a trustee will gain skills and knowledge through our programme of activities. Through this trustees gain skills which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

We have developed an action plan for the Trillick area to identify priorities for the coming months and years such as economic, community, social and environmental actions. Our main annual events are a Vintage Rally in May, Christmas market and Fayre which includes Santa party, light switch on event, music and refreshments. We have improved the

local environment through litter pick up, village clean up, flower planting and facelifts for derelict buildings. We have involved young people in the development and launch of our Action Plan and are keen to progress some of their ideas such as looking for funding for a MUGA, working with the Youth Club on boxercise, zumba, cage football, yoga and beauty treatments.
