Public benefits
Purpose 1-: Improved relationships between home and Enniskillen Model Primary School The benefit which flows from this purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental
support. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for children at Enniskillen Model Primary school. Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. ... [more] [less]What your organisation does
As a PTA committee we meet approximately every six weeks as a committee to discuss fundraising events for the educational benefit of the pupils in Enniskillen Model School. The PTA committee organizes events such as discos, sponsored events, bag packing, fun nights, craft fairs, fashion shows, selling cookery books, Christmas cards etc. They
provide refreshments at school events such as assemblies/sports days etc. where visitors contribute to this service either by payment of a set fee or voluntary contribution. The PTA committee and other helpers within the organisation run and 'man' these events as volunteers. The PTA support pupils by using all funds raised to support pupils for example buy resources for pupils with special educational needs, to subsidize trips and events and to purchase necessary resources which provide educational opportunities for all pupils.
