The Park is open daily throughout the year and continues to be a hub of social gatherings for parents, their families and for young people. Football matches, tournaments and family events, are all very well attended and supported by the local communities, football teams and youth organisations. The pitch facilitates are fully booked throughout the year and the management and involvement of the Club with the local communities is promoted by the local council as good practice. The documented vandalism costs accounted for each year are minor. Annual activities organised by the club have documented increased support both through team participations and increasing supporter numbers over a wider geographical area both from within Northern Ireland and from the Republic of Ireland There is no direct private benefit to the Trustees and the Committee of the Armagh Boys and Girls Club, or to the sport groups or individual members of the community that participate in the events or use the facilities at the Kingston Memorial Park. Any risk or potential harm through the use of the facilities is minimised through the high standard of regular maintenance and the implementation of risk management and health and safety assessments.

What your organisation does

The Armagh Boys and Girls Club promotes the engagement of local community in sports, in particular football and provides outdoor play activities for the younger generation, through the facilities at the Kingston Memorial Playing Fields . Also we promote football for boys and girls youth teams, and in particular Girls youth teams as this is a much

under represented area within football. This year the girls football tournament has grown from 12 teams in previous years, to over 40 teams with a wide representation of girls from all over Northern Ireland, including teams from the South of Ireland. The Club actively promotes good cross community relationships between a very much divided City through sport based tournaments and competitions. As Trustess for the Kingston Memorial Playing Fields, we regularly engage with the local Council to ensure that the facilities are maintained and upgraded to the required high standards.
