Public benefits

The Association, in supporting the ethos of Friends School Lisburn as an educational establishment open to all religious persuasions, endeavors to encourage the development and maintenance of high educational standards and facilities through a) the publication of literature (Old Scholars magazine) which showcases current pupils work and

achievements and maintains links with the lives and achievements of past pupils throughout the UK and Ireland and indeed further afield and b) the raising of funds and provision of financial support for awards and projects within the school. Every pupil and former pupil is entitled to benefit from this. The wider community eventually benefits from the sound education received by the future engineers, teachers, doctors, leaders, social workers etc passing through the school.

What your organisation does

Both fundraising and social events are held throughout each year to provide opportunities to foster friendship and social intercourse amongst all former pupils and maintain the links with the school. The Association sponsors achievement awards within the school and contributes towards relevant projects e.g. new hockey pitches, equipment etc
