Public benefits

Purpose a) The direct benefit that flows from our purpose is the development of preschool children. These benefits are evidenced through assessments, feedback from parents, inspections and reports. The beneficiaries are the children and families connected to the playgroup. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is Trustees’ children

quite often attend the playgroup - this is necessary because the playgroup is managed by a committee of parents. This benefit is evidenced through continual assessment of children by staff, and assessment of staff by management. The beneficiaries are the children and families connected to playgroup. Purpose c) The direct benefit that flows from this purpose is that everything is done under the governance of Early Years - the organisation for young people. These benefits are evidenced through, advisors, services & courses provided by early years and their benefit to staff and therefore children. The beneficiaries are the children enrolled in the playgroup. These benefits are evidenced through Assessments, Feedback from parents, Inspections from DTI and Reports. The charity's beneficiaries are the children and families connected to the playgroup. The only private benefit flowing from our purpose is the Trustee's children quite often attend the playgroup, this is necessary because the playgroup is managed by a committee of parents.

What your organisation does

We provide play and educational facilities to children under statutory school age in the Ahoghill and district area. To do this we use a local community centre, manage staff, have a variety of owned equipment that has to be maintained and updated as required under the Early Years scheme.

Charitable purposes

The aim of the group is to enhance the development and education of the children under statutory school age by encouraging parents/guardians to understand and provide for the needs of their children by: 1 - Offering appropriate play facilities, with the right of parent/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the group, ensuring that the group offers opportunities for all children, regardless of culture, race or means. 2 - Encouraging the study of the needs of the children and their families and promoting public interest and recognition of the needs of the children and their families in the local areas. 3 - Support the values and principles of Early Years - The organisation for young children.
