Through the advancement of education the direct benefit is to provide new skills,build confidence, improve knowledge and understanding enabling people to play their part in the community. Through the Promotion of music and culture we promote cultural heritage, improve people's skills sets, enable people to build confidence and improve health and

well being. By improving the quality of life for the most marginalized we will combat social inequality, relieve poverty and address social isolation and exclusion. By improving conditions of life for inhabitants and through providing facilities in the interests of social welfare we will address social isolation, improve health and well being and provide relief of poverty. These benefits are evidenced by feedback from participants and through monitoring and evaluation of the services provided. There is no harm flowing from these. The beneficiaries are the inhabitants of the townlands of the area of benefit. Private benefit is incidental in that in the course of events and programmes participants may learn transferable skills

Charitable purposes

To promote the benefits of the inhabitants of the townlands of Aughrafin, Ballydoo, Ballymacully, Bracknagh, Cullenttraugh, Drumgar, Elm Park, Knockaneagh, Lisagalley, Naul, Polnagh and Tannagh and their environs by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of the social welfare, education, recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To promote and provide education in the Ulster Scots music and culture and other indiginous traditions and culture. In particular the Association will: a) advance through education the skills and knowledge of the inhabitants of the area of benefit. b) facilitate the greater involvement of marginalised sections of the community, in particular women and girls, farm families, the disabled and the elderly in the life of the community. c) promote awareness of the history, folklore and cultural heritage of the area. d) encourage acceptance, understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity of the area of benefit.
