Public benefits

The work of the Trust vastly improves quality of life for the children by improving opportunities for education, vocational training and career opportunities. This benefits not only the children through personal development but also families and the wider community through improved access to education and skills. The schools project, main

objective is educating the children of the poor section of the community, to inculcate and infuse the feeling of unity creating social harmony and equality. Free education is imparted in the schools and special stress is given on the physical, mental intellectual and spiritual development of the students enabling them to develop their capacities and have better opportunities in the future which would not otherwise have been available By providing finance through our charitable work in Northern Ireland we see there a direct benefit to the lifestyle of the poor by improving their diet and health. Without such support, it is likely that many of the beneficiaries would remain in poverty. The funding provided by the Trust enables subsidised access to appropriate healthcare facilities and medication as and when required. It is submitted that such assistance with the costs of medical treatment radically eases suffering and improves quality of life. Apart from regular schooling, they also run many vocational courses, just to mention a few, such as tailoring, carpentry, handicraft and computer skills for the poor, to make them self-sustainable, so when they become young adults, they can provide for their families. Friends of Sewa Bharti NI, mission in Northern Ireland is to make all local and other ethnic community’s aware what Sewa Bharti, Delhi school project stands for and how we are to identify and respond to these needs. The benefits can be best demonstrated in that it is envisaged that the trustees will make periodic visits to oversee the work carried out in Delhi in order to provide a check on the financial affairs of the overseas work and to provide support and encouragement to the local community. The trustees will seek to develop effective risk management strategies in order to counter any risks encountered from working internationally. I do not believe any harm or the possibility of any harm can come from the work that we do at Friends of Sewa Bharti NI. There is absolutely no financial cost to the charity by the trustee's, they do not take any money out from the charity and whatever cost the trustee’s occur is very much their own cost. There is no private benefit, financial or otherwise to the trustee’s of the charity As we gain more exposure, hence success in NI, the children and young people under the age of 18 who attend the schools in Delhi will directly benefit and leading on from that their families would benefit along with the society at large in the vicinity of the schools. That society with time would be more informed and educated. .The area of benefit is in the vicinity of the schools and as a consequence other schools will hopefully follow suit and the good work spread to other localities in Delhi.
