A number of our key policies and procedures include -: • Equal opportunities legislation, including recruitment policy • Health and Safety • Employment - including policies on discipline, sickness, family leave and flexible working arrangements • Data Protection • Child Protection and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults All equipment used within our facility is maintained to a high standard and risk assessments are frequently carried out to ensure the health and safety of workers and user groups. These measures include: prevention of occupational risks; providing information to staff and user groups; providing training to staff; The charities beneficiaries are families residing in the Waterside area of Derry City. A private benefit stemming from our services is to the ‘trustees’ that may arise from our programme of ongoing training in good governance/finance etc. If resident in the catchment area, ‘trustees’ may also partake in any of our programme activities.
